Long Line
03:59
|
|||
Keep me on your long line
Choking now the rope is tight
Forfeit to your bleeding shrine
Furrowed to the rippled eye
All, found, needed
Form, found, fixtures
The deprevated forces
How long has it been
I stumbled on this tightrope
Bear witness to the mountain fall
Humbled by the words you spoke
Wounded by the lines you wrote
Torn, found bleeding
The captivating strictures
The castigating fortress
Will hold me, no more
No more

Grow Your Own
04:54
|
|||
This fire, still burning
Autumn leaves fall to the ground
This fire, still yearning
A feather, it's crashing down
And your flowers, and your roses
No longer in bloom
The pretty garden that you loved
Was taken down way to soon
Take these seeds
Wave your magic and just sow
You're still beautiful
Just grow your own
These clouds, still turning
It's been barren for too long now
This rain, it's returning
It fuels the earth, while we've been down

Pages
04:50
|
|||
And these white lines, have been the fall of many men
But I'll follow them, 'till I fall down, on my knees
It's not a sickness or a disease that I hold dear
It's just feet that would carry me away
And these dark roads, are all I need
And the places of which I've laid
Would rival the explorers of old
And make the storyteller, turn the page
But there's never any forfeit, when it comes to something better
You're never lost, 'till you've won, something more
So bury me at the grand age of 21
These eyes have seen more than they can hold
And when it's pages, we can read for another time
But the characters are left between the lines
half read and unfinished, will the hero ever be the victor
Or just left, on the shelf with folded page
So close your curtains as I walk by
And avert your eyes from places of which I've laid
'cause the explorer, never sees me cry
And the storyteller, no more, will turn that page

What If Tomorrow
04:04
|
|||
What if tomorrow, feels like yesterday
What if tomorrow, feels just the same
Into tomorrow, the time keeps ticking on down
Into tomorrow, don't regret all the things you missed out
'cause I know now, 'bout living without
The only chance you get is one
So make it count
If tomorrow never comes
I'm gonna be stronger and move the rocks that block my path
I'm gonna go faster and grab the chances that I missed
I'm gonna climb higher and scale the heights that I couldn't quite reach
I'm gonna shine brighter, through the dark there's no need to be meek
So what if tomorrow, tomorrow never comes
What if tomorrow, I'm just a memory of all I've done
'cause everybody dies, it's only a matter of time
So everybody smile, 'cause you can do what you want with your life

Cowboys & Cowards
03:19
|
|||
From ashes to altar
Across the evening tide
Broken skies may now falter
To bury your pride
Though the feeling is hopeless
It's not all that it seems
Take my hand and I'll show you
How to sow a brand new seed
One day this nightmare will be a dream
All those cowboys and cowards
Lying, shattered in their pain
Whispered lies have now gathered
To drag you through their shame
Oh, I know that you're weary
And tired of their deceit
Take the burden of this moment
And share the weight with me
One day this nightmare will be a dream

Moving On
03:37
|
|||
To be left between the forfeit
And the furrows beyond the pale
To be caught between the cadence
And the sadness of a minor scale
Carry me to water's edge
The wind's too far to fall
Follow me in perfect tense
I'll give to you my all
And I can feel you move
I can feel your wounds
And I can hear the soothing tones
And I can say the truth
It's all now up to you
But I can see you moving on
To be left between the footsteps
And the hollow of a rootless tree
To be lost among the faulted
And this tide of memory
Carry me to winters edge
The helm's to hard to hold
Follow me with no pretense
I'll lead this light back home

Loved for Who You Are
04:10
|
|||
Come as you are
Fall from the morning star
And let your fears begin to fade
Call from afar
Ode to the past
So let your light now be your shade
Looking through the mirror
It's hiding from you now
The hole's a little deeper
So hold on and don't look down
Seems a little clearer
You know you've come so far
Be proud of where you've come from
And be loved for who you are
Loved for who you
Loved for who you are
Be proud of where you've come from
And be loved for who you are
End now the war
Bring down the city walls
And let your light now keep you safe
Back to the start
Blaze through this sombre heart
So let your fire be your embrace

Fan The Flames
04:51
|
|||
And I, feel the fire
And I, feel the flames
And I, feel so tired
And I, feel the shame
Got a whole bag of blame
It's calling my name
I'm fighting again
These monsters to blame
Now winter's long gone
And I'm starting to thaw
And finding my way
So don't
Don't Fan the Flames

Rainbow Skies
03:53
|
|||
I can't find the words to say
The colour's dark it's all been drained
The only spark, the silent scars of your truth
And I can't bring you back from the shame
The angers out, it permeates
The tie that binds
The rainbow skies
To my youth
I sing along with you
I can't look the other way
This bitter fire it resonates
This sovereign heart
It's a world apart; from truth
And I can't bring you back from the pain
The colours rise from ashen grey
From covered cries
To the rainbow skies
That you choose
I sing along with you
I know what you've been thinking
What's wrong with me
They took the best I had
The rest you can have for free

Rest Now
03:35
|
|||
Rest now my children
These walls are now your own
The stars they shine around you
And light your new found home
See the fire in the moon it rises
On old forgotten lands
Draw back the curtain
On old familiar sands
When you're lost among the echoes
We'll teach you how to breath
Rest now my children
It's safe to dream
